Princess Lexi's Romance (Book 19)
Princess Lexus is the eldest of four royal daughters. At one-and-twenty, she is considered ripe for marriage. Not. Although she has been dating Kyle, the captain of her father's army, for a year, she resists settling down. She loves to travel, meet people, explore, and help others. Her only long-term commitments are to her precious dog, Pumpkin, and her best friend, Esmeralda the witch.
Gavin is a handsome falconer, well-liked and respected by the people of Oakhaven. He is devoted to his Harris's hawks, falcons, and owl. He loves women—who doesn’t? But long-term commitments? Not. He abhors violence and magic is the main bone of contention with his older brother, Gideon, a practicing sorcerer.
When Lexi happens upon Oakhaven during her travels, her water fairy senses go on alert. Months without rain have left the land parched, and hordes of emaciated rats vie for any drops of moisture. Gavin has been hired to rid the town of the infestation, while Lexi’s offer to help end the drought is enthusiastically accepted.
Lexi immediately meets with her family and the resulting solutions demand the use of magic. When Lexi and Gavin are forced to work together, the physical attraction is immediate. But the circumstances do not lend themselves to romance. Yet the more the two learn about each other, the more intrigued they become.
Gavin is a happy bachelor. Lexi is content with Pumpkin. And what about Kyle? And Gavin’s disdain for magic? And unbeknownst to both is a mandatory ritual the human must undergo when there is potential romance between that human and a magic of royal blood.
Choices. Risks. Bonding. Devotion. All…or nothing.
